Application
U-KASTTM Orthopedic Casting Tape is intended for use in construction of most common orthopedic cast, external immobilization of fractures and other orthopedic conditions.
U-KASTTM Orthopedic Casting Tape is manufactured from knitted polyester fiber impregnated with a water-activated polyurethane resin.
Strength & Rigidity U-KASTTM Orthopedic Casting Tape is as same strength and rigidity as fiberglass casting tapes. The patient can be active 20 minutes after application. It is 20 times as rigid as conventional plaster bandage.
Lightness It is 5 times lighter than plaster cast
Superior conformability and mouldability The knitted polyester fiber allows the tape conform to the shape of the patient's limb receiving the cast. Especially the areas of bony prominences such as the ankle, elbow, heel, and knee areas
Good Porosity
It gives better hygienic condition to the area receiving the cast and can protect the patient from itching, allergy, and transferable disease, since it will let air through.
100% Clairvoyant to X-Ray There is no any interfere with the ability to see fine detail in a fracture.
Tack-free
U-KASTTM Orthopedic Casting Tape is tack-free when molding. This property allows the glove not sticks to the resin and when attempts are made to smooth the cast and form it.
